Submission: Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
Any medical breakthrough worth its salt is going to be based on mountains of research involving large research teams, multiple competing labs, and billions of dollars in NSF(or similar) funding, not to mention the lessons from centuries of science imparted by our university system. Furthermore, anyone who describes their work in terms as vague as “a formula so people will live forever” is unlikely to be a scientist, and is probably selling snake oil, so he is useless at best, harmful at worst. A good cartoon.
