(And by the way, I don't think punishing bad behaviour would perpetuate a cycle of violence.) Aggression could be used against her, or in defending her. I don't like that girls tend to go for strong guys over skinny guys, but I'm not about to pretend they're shooting themselves in the foot. Obviously they have their reasons for doing so.
