Submission: Kiss me I’m Irish
Obama has tried to woo the GOP by enticing them with their own policies: extending tax cuts for the rich, enacting corporatist healthcare reform (with an insurance mandate but no single-payer system), and supporting cap-and-trade environmental policies. According to this cartoon, he’s even tried lightening his skin to get the GOP to like him.
Unfortunately, no matter how moderate Obama goes, no Republican will get with him under the mistletoe. A sad but true cartoon.
