The education experts can’t fathom why a child today would be nostalgic for the old one-room schoolhouse, a relic of an age of illiteracy, poverty, polio, and lessons that didn’t stray much beyond the Bible — long left behind in favor of inclusive, innovative learning centers that can make school less of a drudge. A good cartoon.
